NJEA Disability Insurance

Help protect your paycheck and your family’s future.  Please share this information with your members.

NJEA Disability insurance, issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America, makes it easy to help protect your paycheck. It’s more affordable than you may think, and coverage is guaranteed, with no health questions required—but only during this special open enrollment from November 7, 2019 to January 7, 2020.

The importance of disability insurance

If you can’t work due to an accident, illness, mental health, or pregnancy, the benefits you receive can help you pay for things like rent or mortgage, health insurance premiums, childcare, car payments and college tuition until you get back on your feet.

Don’t miss open enrollment November 7, 2019-January 7, 2020.

For more information or to enroll, visit enroll.njea.org beginning on November 7.

Questions? Call your EIS account executive at 800-727-3414 and choose option 3.

Pension Information

You can find and update pension information on this website: https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/mbosregister.shtml

If you have not created an account, you will need to create one.  You can see estimated retirement information, apply for a pension loan, and designate a retirement beneficiary.  It is a good idea to periodically make sure that this information is accurate.  If you haven’t viewed this site recently, there is a pretty good chance that you have information that needs to be fixed.  You should make sure that you have a beneficiary designated.

Below are useful links to access more information on retirement and pensions.  You may need to use the log on information you create above to access certain sites.  Please reach out if you need assistance.

End of Year Luncheon

Here’s a message from our VHS members in regards to the lunch our membership provided yesterday and what was done as an extension.

Today after the successful end of year luncheon at Voorhees High School the staff donated twenty (20) trays of food to Safe Harbor Easton.

Safe Harbor Easton is dedicated to empowering and educating homeless men and women, and to helping them to achieve a better way of life. To that end, they provide safe, secure housing and case management for all clients. It is their mission to see that everyone who comes to Safe Harbor is given the means and opportunity to live a life of fulfillment and recovery.

It was as always a great day to be a Vike.

Thank you to social chairs at VHS and NHHS, Angela Exley and Meghan DeVaney, who organized the luncheons at both schools and to our entire membership for continuing to support one another.

Be well this summer.

Part Time Opportunities for Educators

2019 Spring Employment Opportunities

Hello North Hunterdon Regional High School District EA ,

Thank you for sharing these part time opportunities with your community of educators in 2018.  USA Sport Group is excited to be offering the same roles for spring and summer 2019, specifically on weekday evenings from 4pm – 7pm or weekends in the morning or afternoon

These opportunities are perfect for anyone who is great working with children, as a children’s sports coach.  No prior coaching experience is needed, only the ability to follow a curriculum.  Full training will be provided.

Please find attached the flyer with the details.  If you could share this with your association, we would greatly appreciate it.

At USG, we partner with local recreation departments and schools in Hunterdon, to offer educational and fun sports programs for children, starting at age 2.  These programs help keep children involved and engaged in physical activity, and for all ability levels.

Should you have any questions, please contact our recruitment coordinator Maria@USAsportGroup.com, or at (732) 357-2539.  However, I would be happy to assist as well.

Thank you again.
